Lullaby of Pain

Staring at these world filled pages
The words abd letters speak to me
Conjuring thoughts and images in my mind
I shut my eyes
And grab my head
Praying these nightmares will cease
Hoping these frightening images will end
But the pain burys it claws in my chest
Squeezing my heart in it's grasp
Waiting for it to explode
My eyes open to see the words
Scarring the crumpled paper in my hands
The moment of truth had finally come
"I hate you...die" scream at me
I try to read between the lines
Trying to find some sort of mistake
As my soul drops to the floor
Tears spill down my cheeks
Veins throb with crimson
I close my eyes hoping to never wake
But my pulse goes on and on
